Everything you will need for your project :
- Clamps
- Hook
- Chain
- Tape Measure
- Scissors
- Any Ribbon or Trim
- Pliers
The cool thing about making your own chokers is that you can make them out of any ribbon or trim you want. I went and picked out a few from Hobby Lobby that I liked. Make sure you buy at least 15 inches in length of any that you choose.
First thing to do is measure around the length of your neck, making sure its not too tight. Once you have done that cut a piece of trim to that length.
Once you have cut the piece, take one of the clams and fold the edge of the trim over about one inch and place the clamp down. Next, use the pliers and pinch the clamp down on the trim so that it grabs the trim and wont come loose.
Complete the following step to both sides of the trim.
Then attach the chain with the pliers to the ends of the trim, and then your choker is complete!
This whole process can be completed again using any kind of trim you find! Before you know it you will have a full collection of homemade chokers to match any outfit.
